Have you ever attended Father's Day at Jeff's Pirates Cove? If you haven't, you are missing out. Jeff throws a celebration just like the pirates of old. Plenty of Food, Drink and Women!!! Well maybe not the women. You need to bring your own here!! So Jeff "almost" celebrates like the pirates of yesteryear!!
But this past Father's Day was no exception. What a spread he and his wonderful staff put out. Home-style BBQ Pork Spare Ribs, Chicken and Short Ribs, keleguens, salads, just to name a few menu items. Would wake up any pirate from the grave. Heck it's better if I just show you his menu...
And it was crazy at the Cove. So many patrons came. It was like an overflow full-house. They just kept coming. The indoor dining room was full, all the outside dining areas to include the pavilion were completely full. Families, tourists, they were all here!!! Kids had some much play area. Basketball, Volleyball, beautiful sandy beaches, large grass areas. What a great family atmosphere for Father's Day.
But I have to tell you the BBQ was out of this world. They use a special marinade that knocks your socks off. And it's all cooked on pits that you and I would use at home. Nothing fancy here. Just plain old great BBQ!!
One of Jeff's secrets is the special wood that he uses for his BBQ. He uses imported Mesquite wood lump charcoal. This imparts a flavor like no other onto his BBQ'd meats and is truly amazing!!! I should know, I am a BBQer. And the quality of his meats are 1st class. No skimping here. But wait, like they say, pictures are worth a thousand words so on with the show!!!

It was not just a Father's Day, it was a party!!! Listening to music while eating what seemed to be an endless supply of food, children running around and playing on the beach and grassy areas. And let us not forget those volleyball and basketball courts. It was all flowing so well as it usually does at the Cove. Just a plain, comfortable, relaxing, fun atmosphere. What more could one ask for.
The staff at Jeff's was there to make sure that everyone had a great dining experience. They did a fantastic job!!
All told, about 160 reservations were made. Over 500 island residents and tourists enjoyed their Father's Day at Jeff's Pirates Cove.
Of course I would be remiss if I didn't give a special shout out to all you Mothers out there. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be father's enjoying this special day.
For all of you that were not able to make it down to Jeff's Pirates Cove this year for Father's Day, don't worry!!! There is always the next time. But why wait...come on down when you have the time and try out the special island fare that Jeff's Pirate's Cove has become famous for. You'll be glad you did!!!
